Pooh!!!!

In Nov 2003 our daughter came home for a 5 day visit and when she got here we found out that her husband had beat her up so we wouldn't let her go home.

One week after she was home she wasn't feeling good so we did a PG test on her and found out that she was 4 weeks PG.  The judge told not to talk to her husband at all and so she didn't tell him until her lawyer did.

Sometime later we found out she was carrying a girl so i wanted to make her a collection of dolls and I found these.  At that time these was the only ones I could buy.  I got these and put them up in my closet and forgot all about them until yesterday and got them out. The little girl isn't that little but still young enough that she will understand why she can't play with these.

These are two little girls dressed up as Pooh.  Our granddaughter is going to love these.  She will be on here in a little while to see them.

Yes these are the same pictures but with flash and without flash.  I was hoping thjat you can see them better if they was different.

I kept the plastic covers over their faces and hands cause I didn't want to take them off and I don't want them to get dirty until my daughter sets them.  maybe Desi will leave me a comment below on what she thinks of them.

I want to Share my Knitting

I want to let you know that there is talent that comes in different forms.  Yes I love to scrapbook and make cards.  But in my older years I have found myself in hospital and doctor offices a lot more since 1992.  I have learned to do new things, things that I didn't think I could do or just didn't think that I was good enough to do that kind of hard work.
I would like to share some of those things with you.

This hat and booties was the first thing I ever knitted and I made about 50 sets and gave them to our hospital here in town for the new born babies.  But some of them I had to send to Portland to a Hospital there cause I made them to small for our babies.

Then I made a blanket.  But you need to know that I can't or don't understand the instructions to these patterns.  So I had a friend help me get started and she worked with me until I got finished with the first one.  IT was one of a kind.  NO ONE else will ever have one like it.  The next 14 that I made I change it and those 14 and this 16th one are all alike and still one of a kind.  I never did understand it so I made it my own pattern.

The first picture the flash didn't go off so I wanted to make sure you knew the color is Pink and it has that silver thread going though it.  I love this yard and that is all I use for baby things.

I had a after school class that I was to teach 8 years old to 11 a new craft.  We started this in Oct and the girls had it all done just in time for Christmas for their mothers.  I had so much fun teaching them how to do this but in the last 8 years I have been knitting and scrapbooking.  When I'm at home I scrapbook and when I'm at a Doctors appointment I knitting.

These are all of our grandchildren.  There is 5 of them and we love them all. The little boy in the middle of the bottom row we don't get to see him and after then end of the summer we will never see him again.  IF you really want to know the story let me know and I will tell you why.  But that won't change our love for him.  He will still be in our daily prayers and in our hearts forever.  I also know in our next life he will be with his mother.  His father isn't worth 2 cents.  But the others we will see all the time.

Thank you for reading my Blog.

Been so Busy

Sorry I have been so busy making cards for two different baby showers and I went to Portland Oregon with my sister for two days.  We had a lot of fun just being together.

We started from my home at 7:45 am and left my husband at his doctors appointment and our daughter in law was to pick him up and take him back home.

Well my sister got as far as The Dalles and found out that I didn't have any of my meds.  So I called my husband and he said it was setting right where I had left it.  So to Wal-Mart in Hood River we went.  We got there and they didn't want to do anything to help me at first. So I finally talked to the head doctor that was there and i told him I just really needed my heart med's more then the rest I could go two days without them but not my heart med's.  So after a lot of talking and crying on my part HE did fill it so I would have enough for this trip.

Then we hit the road again.  When we got to Wood Village we stopped at the big Wal-Mart there and just wanted to show my sister how big it was.  We got us some snacks to take to our Hotel to have a snack with.  Then we went to find Costco off 181 Airport Way.  We knew it was somewhere down there but wasn't sure.  We got on Sandy Blvd and drive till we hit 142 and took a right cause 138 street was closed.  So we ended on 181 Airport way.  Then we found the building that had the big blue windows and turned left and went about a half a block and there was Costco. Found some good buys but kept our money but I did buy me another craft container.

Then we went and found our Hotel, then went a ate dinner at the Sizzlers.  Boy was that good.  Then we went back to the hotel and got our showers and let our hair dry then we went to bed.  Got up at 6:30 am and got ready to go to our meet that we needed to be at.

What a wonderful meeting and had a great dinner then we went back to Ikea to pick up a gift for my daughter then went back to costco.  Then we started for home.  wonderful trip home even if it rained some of the way home.  One of the pictures up above my sister took just about 20 miles from home.  Thank You Nadine for going with me and for the wonderful time we had.

Boys Shower Card

Here is the Boys Shower Card that I made for the Babby Boys shower that I will be having the first of May.  I really would like your imput on this card.  There is two different ones here but the insides are the same.  These two cards are a lot smaller then the Baby Girls Shower cards.  These are 4 by 5 in size.  I love these a lot better.

I have to make 60 to 80 of these.  So I'm starting to work on them now.  The Girls cards I was making this last week I now have done.  I made 37 of them and now I have them done.  Please just let me know what you think i should do to add or to make these look better.

Baby Boy Shower Card

Now I would like to show you the little boy card I made last night for a Babt Biy Shower.  I only had these things on hand but I would like to know from you what you think I should use to make it look more like a boy.  A special friend of mine is having a baby boy come this June.  We are going to have a shower for her since this is her first baby.

Yes both of these cards are the same.  But I took both of them at a little different angle trying to get it to show the animals on the paper better.  But this is paper for Baby Boys.

Please let me know what you think I could add to make these look more like to make them look like it should be for a boy shower.

Love is Everywhere

Love is Everywhere.  Yes even my husband and I have been married for almost 43 years.  I pray that he will make it at least until our 50th.  Sometimes I think life isn't fair and I wish I had more.  Yes I would love to have the NEW Cricut Expression 2.  But I wouldn't want to give up my love of my life.  I wish I had more money to buy more Cricut cartridges but I would rather have my husband.

This is my son and his wife on the left.  My baby sister and her husband in the middle.  Then our daughter and her husband.  At the time I made this I didn't think about putting my husband and I on it.  I should of but I'm sorry I just didn't.

Thank You for service

I want to share with you the cards I just made last night.  We came home for my husband doctors appointment and it wasn't what we was hoping for.  So it was nice to be able to set down and make same fun cards.

This first one is prefit for someone who love to work in their garden or in their flower bed. If you want to say Thank you for just anything I'm sure they will love this card.

The butterfly's was made for my sweet mother.  She loves Butterfly's and she has a lot of them flying around all of her flowers that she has in her front yard.  She turns 84 in a few months and I know she is going to love this card.

This one is a page print that I made when my 30 year old daughter had Open Heart surgery and had 2/3 of the inside of her heart taken out plus they replace the value in her heart.  But she is doing so much better now and is on the road to better health.

Special Cards

Here is two cards that I made today after I go back from my husbands Doctors appointments.  IT wasn't a good appointment but i did do some good today.  I came home and made two special cards.  How many times do family or friends do nice things for us and we really never tell them Thank you.  Or how many time does our family or friends get sick and we wish we could send them a get well card.  I made one for a special friend who may have cancer and isn't doing to good right now.  I want to lift her spirits with a nice card.

Please let me know what you think.  I would love to hear from each and ever one of you.
