Our Wonderful Family

These are pictures of our children and Grandchildren. We want them to know that they mean the world to us. Our son and his children and our daughter in law with the same children.

This is Our Son and his three children. I need to tell you a story of the beard on our son face. We have a very special friend and his name is Dr. Steven Neal. He is a famous painter and he asked our son to grow his beard so that he can draw and then paint a picture of his face. He want's our son face to have a Jesus beard so he is growing it out and before the end of the year he will have it looking just like the wants it. We feel that is so special that he would want our son to do that for his painting.

 

Addyson Jean is the oldest one, Jacob Ross, then Brooklyn Chelsea Marie is our very youngest and the apple of her family eyes. She is one very speical little girl.

This is our daughter and she has two children but one is living with his father and the little girl is living with her and our new son in law will legally adopt her in a few months also she will let the fathers new wife adopt her son. So in a couple of months Desirea Marie will have a new last name. She is so afraid of her real father cause he has hurt her and she doesn't want to see him and California has stepped in to protect her and now she never has to see him again.

This is another great picture of our daughter and her little family. Their daughter will be the only child they will have. Her heart is so bad that they can't take a chance on her having another baby. Her first husband didn't care and wanted her to have them anyhow because he wanted her to die so he could raise them on his own, with his mommy. Yes he is a mommy boy. Now he won't be in her life and not his daughters also. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers.

Happy Birthday Cards for Church

Today was a busy day for me. I didn't get to bed until 3 am cause my son had to be in another town and we had to take there. So my husband and I didn't get to bed till 3 am. So to start I was a very tiring day for the both of us. Then at 11 am my Relief Society President came by and told me that she would like to ask me to start making Birthday cards for all the sister in our Ward so each month I will have to make about 30 cards some maybe more and some maybe less. But I will have to see. She wanted to see what I have put together so she can make up her mind for sure.
So I showed her these just to look at: To start with:::

Now the reason I'm writing this is because in our church we have what you would call "Callings" It is a job that you would do from Sunday to Sunday or monthly. She asked me to do this cause she feels my cards are "personal". She loves them and she feels the other ladies will too and wants me to start making the first thrity this week. So I'm going to be a busy lady for the next few days making these kinds of cards.
I do want you to know that I have learned so much form you guys that the new ones won't be like these but more like the cards you ladies are making.

Pictures on Boards part 5 last one

This our three middle grandchildren.  I have this one hanging on my wall and I love it and they do to.  They like looking at it over and over again.  Then if they touch it, it won't hurt anything.

Pictures on Boards part 4

Okay now you have them all glued down and ready to put the  "Envirotex Lite" on it.   Now put your picture board up on 4 3 oz cups so it set's up and off the table.  Make sure that there is plastic under it to perfect the table or the floor.  Okay now take you two jars and number them 1 and 2.  Now take a 2 oz from jar 1 and then take 2 oz of jar 2 and mix those two oz cups into a 6 to 8 oz cup and mix with a tongue depresser until you see a lot of air bubbles in the mix.  Then after they are mixed very well pour that mixture over the board starting in the middle of it working out to the edge of it.  Then go down each line with the stick to clean out those 4 lines.  Spread the mixture out and over to all the edges of the board and then pick up one of the straws and blow the air bubbles out of the mixture on the board.  Do this step all over the board to make sure the air is all gone.  then with your stick keep the line cleaned out by running the stick dow and accross the lines to each edge so they are clean of the mixture.  It is okay to have a little cause that is what makes it shine at the end of the day.  This stepp by keeping it spread out will take you almost one hour or longer.  You just have to recheck the edges to make sure the mixture made it all over the board.  As I cleaned out each line I would drop that mixture into my cup so as I checked and maybe had a bare spot I would drop a little of that mixture into that area and made sure it was spread out and mixed together okay.

Now for a picture:

This our daughter and her husband.  See how the the picture takes the whole middle of it and the sides are all painted and just fine.  This one is a 8 x 10 frame the picture is 4 x 6 and they look so nice together.

Pictures on Boards part 3

Okay now that the painting has all been done then now you are ready to cut the picture and set it up on you board.

Now you can see that I turned the picture ove and I'm marking the picture where I want to cut.

You want to make sure that your mark on the inside of the two middle lines.  That is where you will be cutting it.

You can see that all my marks are on the inside lines.  The three middle piece of pictures has to fit in the square perfect.  The the outside ones goes into each of it's own corner to make it all fit like a puzzle.  NOW you have to glue all the pieces to the board and then let it dry for a couple of hours.  But make sure for the next step and that will be on the next post.  That the board is in a place that you can leave it for 73 hours without being touched.

Part 2

Now you are ready to start painting it. I forgot something from the last post.  You need to buy this before you even start it so you have it on hand when you are ready.
A.  Envirotex Lite - starts from $12.49 for 8oz to 1 gal size for $89.99.  (I used 1 gal size)
B.  3 oz plastic cups (for each picture you are doing) need 2 for each pic.
C.  10 oz cups to pour the 2 oz's of each cup into.
D.  1 package of tongue depresser - for mixing the 4 oz with.
E.  1 package of straws to blow the air out the the mixture after you poured onto the picture.

For painting you need:
A.  small plates to mix paint.
B.  craft sponges for painting (washable kind)
C.  small paint brushes to get into the cracks (they will show up)

You don't have to paint the middle of it cause your picture will clover that part of the board. I use two different colors to make it look like shadows in the pictures.  Also just a tip you may want the color of your board to go with the colors in the pictures.

You will see how I have the paint setting out around my board.  This one was all done but I wanted you to know how I did it.  I also put a roll of plastic under all the boards I was painting on so I wouldn't get it on the table or floor where I was working.  Also don't wear your best clothes to do this in.  I also set this painted board set over night before I went to cut my picture up.

Pictures on Boards part 1

I have to many pictures to put into one message so I'm going to do it in three or 4 messages.

You need to make your mind right off the bat to what pictures or which one you want to do. It doesn't matter what kind of picture as you well see on these I have from 3 x 5 to a 8 x 111/2 size.  These boards that I have are 5 x 7 and a 8 x 11 size and then you cut them down to fit..

This board is a 11 x 13 so a 8 x 11 picture will fit on it correct.   Then you need to cut the board to make it look like this.

Now you are ready to paint it.  I just used craft paint that comes in the plaste bottles so I can put someo n a little plate to paint.

Watching Over Jerusalem

Yes I made this with my two little hands and yes I know some of you may already have some of these.  Two years ago I made 15 of these for Christmas gifts and my family loved them.  I'm putting all three of thee on here cause I really want you to see the print and how I did it.

Sorry if the lights are on it and making a glare on it. But I really wanted you to see that was hand made and it took me 73 hours to start to finish.  I have some more if you like  this I can show them.

They don't have to be a church picture I made one of my 5 great nephews for my sister so she would have them hanging on her wall.  She said that she had them "Hanging Around" all the time this way.  They love it.

Is it a Mess??

I feel this is a mess but my husband says it's not.  I would like to know what you think.  You know I love making cards.  Then today I found a new way to put one together so tomorrow I'm going to try it.

Just let me know.  I love the Glitter on it and this time I didn't put any on the ribbon.  The Butterfly is blue with a little glitter on the tips of the wings and a little bit of glitter on the flower also.  The yellow cardstock is on form squares so it is up and off the white card.

New Glitter Cards

I'm putting on here is some cards I have been working on yesterday and today.  The first three are the same card but two are during the day light and the other was in the evening.

This picture was taken at night that is why it is a little darker. I'm trying to show the slitter on the flowers and on the paper.  This is a card I made.

First of all sorry about the shadow in the bottom of the card.  But I still hope you can see all of the glitter that is on the card.

This is the last pose of it. I love the glitter show up on the flowers plus on the card itself. The white ribbon on is how I enterlocked the flowers together and keep them in one area of the card.

On this one I love how the butterflys have glitter on them and they shine so much in the light from the lamp and from the flash.  I don't like the glitter on the ribbon and i won't do that again. Unless someone tells me how to do it differnt.

My Parents - Wedding Day

I wanted to do something special for my mother.  My father went mushroom hunting one day and never came home.  My brother and nephew went to the mountains to the area he was going to go and look.  After 15 hours of him leaving his home my nephew found him setting in his little pickup.  He had just climbed up out of the hill which was a hard pull for him to make and we feel his heart gave out on him.  He had his glasses setting in the set beside him and his head was back, his left leg was holding the pickup door open and it looks like he just went to sleep.

Our father loved the mountains he spent all of his time up there and he would get mad because they was clear cutting the are that he would love to hunt in.  our mother took his death very hard and i wanted to do something special for her  so I made this special picture and I'm going to have it mounted on a wood panel and give it to her for Christmas.  I'm about ready to order it but I want you to see it and let me know what you think.  I will post this for a week or so then I want to take it down  so she doesn't see it.  So look now.

This well be her Christmas gift from Me if you feel she will love it.  I really want to know.

New Easter Chick & Flower Card

I put a web address to her site.  She can't walk the full walk because of her heart but she love her nephew enough that she wants to try.  What I would like to do is ask you to help by giving of your heart even $5.00 would help her.  She didn't put her amount high but it is going to need all of us to help.  This goes for reseach to help her nephew and my grandson.  Anything you will do we will all be very grateful for.

Two Different Cards - Easter - Birthday

Okay here we go again.  I made two different cards today and i want to share them with you.  This is so fun for me to do it helps me release the stress that I'm under.  Also by the time you are viewing these i will be at a Hopital 70 miles away.  My husband is having a catscan to see why there is blood on his spine.  So three days from now we should know.
